With World K.O, Julien Papen presents the follow-up to his debut EP « Theelevator » and his debut album « Fuck That ». Recorded between July 2019 and February 2020, World K.O shows Julien Papen’s synth-punk last experimentations : a back to the roots with some hardcore-punk influences (Lies about lies // You were people like me // World K.O), some devotional moments (Low Battery // Psychological Stress) and lo-fi pop songs at its best (Luna Bronx // Procrastination // Walkie Talkie). It’s hard to believe there is only one person behind this record !
